About the Video

Tata and Titicaca is not only fun to say, it is a video that holds a special energy and message.  The footage was shot in 2006 on the original Shift of the Ages shoot while the crew documented Wandering Wolf’s journey to recover the Sacred Mayan Staff of Authority for his people of Guatemala.  At the time, Guatemala had still not formally recognized its indigenous population even though about half of the country are Indigenous Maya.  A bloody civil war had recently ended leaving behind deep wounds of racism.  Wandering Wolf felt that the recovery of the Staff could help rally Mayan voters to support the presidential campaign of his disciple and Mayan Elder, Alvaro Colom, who was promising equal rights if he won the race in 2007.  It was a gamble because many Maya people felt powerless against the political system that did not even acknowledge their existence.  On September 9, 2007, Colom was declared the newly elected president by over five percentage points, 52.7% to 47.3%, with over 96 percent of polling places counted, becoming Guatemala's first left-leaning president in 53 years.

While in Boliva, South America, we were invited to the Islands of the Moon and Sun to meet the Aymaran Elders and do ceremony for the healing of Mother Earth and the successful recovery of the Staff from a rogue Aymaran Spirit Guide that had procession of it for the last seven years.  While traveling to the Islands, we interviewed a special friend, Rosse Mary, about Lake Titicaca, Wandering Wolf, and the Shift of the Ages.  She shared many sacred sites and ancient stories with us on our magical journey.  Even though the “Tata and Titicaca” video is not a direct message from Wandering Wolf, it carries his energy.  The raw video from this shoot has been shared at gatherings, lectures, meetings, and screenings since 2006.  We are happy to bring the edited “Tata and Titicaca” to you now!
