The SHIFT: A Collaborative Effort

The Shift of the Ages Project is all about “unigizing”—energetically uniting people for a positive purpose.  Time and talent are forms of energetic exchange that will greatly enhance the project.  If you would like to Collaborate in the SHIFT, please let us know through your user profile on the website!

First, we created the Ambassadors Network, where donations make meaningful contributions to the completion of the film and participants participate in co-creating the SHIFT on a daily basis through the Affiliate Program.  The next step is the SOTA Collaborative, a tool that is now available through your user profile on the website.  Once you create a profile on SHIFT CENTRAL, you can 'EDIT' your profile and you will see a button that reads 'VOLUNTEER' at the top of your profile page.  By clicking on this button, you will be directed to a form that gives you options to offer your time and services to the SHIFT.  These options represent some of the areas where your donation of time and talent would make a real difference:

  • Graphic Design: Logos, posters, banners, comic strips - let your creativity flow!
  • School Collaboration: Youth contribution-what does the SHIFT mean to kids?
  • Acting/Video Creation: Create a short film about what 2012 means to you.
  • SOTA Translation Project:  Help the whole world to hear the Authentic Mayan Message in their own language.
  • Web Development: Help the SHIFT by donating your time and talent to the SOTA website.
  • Content Management:  Master of grammatical arts?  Have an eye for the big picture and a professional pen? 
  • Festival Collaboration:  Have some great ideas about venues that would be perfect for sharing the Shift of the Ages?  Talk to us about how to share the SHIFT.

The SHIFT is a Collaborative Effort

When the Shift of the Ages project began in 2005, there was only a handful of websites talking about 2012 and the Maya – now the internet, television, major motion pictures, and all manner of media are saturated with speculation and hype.  It's obvious what's on everyone's mind, and there's no wonder why.  The issue is one where everyone knows there is going to be some kind of change, and they are trying to discern what that change will mean.  There is so much information out there, so many theories and claims...it is difficult to know where to turn for the truth.  Since the misconceptions surrounding 2012 originate from misconceptions regarding the Ancient Mayan Calendar, it makes sense to hear what the indigenous Maya have to say about it.    

The Shift of the Ages has the very special mission of helping the Maya speak directly to the world and dispel the fear associated with their calendar’s end date.  That is the desire of the indigenous Mayan Elders, and that is our work here at SOTA.  To share the message with the world so it can emerge from fear and uncertainty into a consciousness of purpose and unity.  That's what is known as the SHIFT.  When we share the Authentic Mayan Message, we help raise consciousness, revive hope, and empower ourselves and others to co-create a world where life can flourish.  While the film is being completed and the project foundation is being firmed up, things are still very 'underground', but this is soon to change.  Already we have made  great strides in creating a paradigm that facilitates the message and the growth it perpetuates globally. 

The more conscious and active minds come together to collaborate, the more inspiration, education and tools become available to build a better world.  The Shift of the Ages is a film and a movement.  The film will serve to educate and inform, and to be a tool by which the Maya can be heard.  The project supports the movement, which effects everyone, and involves everyone.  It is a collaborative effort to SHIFT global coherence into a space of peace, abundance and fulfillment.
