Do you have the same ideas?

Hello Everyone,
I am still a novice at all of this.  I have found that I know more than I thought, but I'm curious if others think the way I do after reading different sources.
I have a left winged christian in my family( I think that correct term, very close minded and no one else is right attitude)
In order to have an intelligent conversation with her without having walls built up, I've focused my studies on learning what is similar between all cultures of the past and what is expected in the future.  This is what I've come up with.  Just curious if this makes sense to others who share my feelings about the coming new age.
The concept of 7 days/7 lords, etc is a common thread that is in both Mayan and Christian religion. These both explain how the universe was made. So I am learning to explain the similarities of this concept.  I am explaining that Quetzalcoatl, Kukalcan, Yaweh and God are really the same deity or great spirit.
The 21, Decmber 2012 is not a cataclysmic end date, but the birth of a new age.
So many christians beleive in the second coming of Christ, but I wonder if they would beleive it if he actually showed up.  Or if they would think that person is crazy and go about their business.
Most people who beleive in a Great Spirit or Quetzalcoatl appear to seem like they would beleive if they showed up.  This is such a better option to me.

The number 9 also seems to actually work in my mind as well.  Both cosmically and faith based.
1)The lining up of the planets, 2)the lining up of the sun and earth and the 3)center of the galaxy.  4)The 2000 year photon band of light is going to be most apparent in 2012.  The earth has already started showing it's centralizing for 2012 with 5)Tsunamis, earthquakes and even rogue waves in the mediterannean sea. These horrible natural disasters serve a purpose both physically for the world and emotionally for people.  They actually 6)make people start questioning what is going on instead of the blind dogma practices that were taught in the past. 7)The moon will also align with the galaxy in december 2012. 8) the nine underworlds of the Maya are coming to an end. And 9) the return of a sacred being either, Quetzalcoatl, Christ, son of god, etc.

I know as I've learned these things, I was probably more eloquent in my thoughts but I made the mistake of not writing down my thoughts when I had them. 
There has also been a discovery of a Mayan site in the El Mirador basin and an Island west of central america where archeologists beleive that the return of Quetzalcoatl will return to one of these sites.  Does anyone have information on that aspect of this blog?
