Introducing Carlos Cedillo

My interest in Mayan culture began in 1994 when the Zapatista Revolution happened in Chiapas, Mx.  I read the communiques written by Subcommandante Marcos with deep interest.  I traveled all around Mexico from the vast deserts of the North to the jungle mountains and beaches of the South.  I collected crystals from miners and sat on pyramids casting the I-ching.

In the latter part of the 1990's I began keeping a journal using the 260 day Sacred Tzolkin calendar.  My intuition told me that if there was really something special about it, that using the tzolkin should make something happen....sure enough there was abounding synchronicities after a few short rounds.  Then came Leap Year 2000....  It turns out I was using a "Dreamspell" calendar and that it was "Fool's Day" sure enough:  There just could not be a day split in the middle just to accomodate a Gregorian calendar phenomenon.  I stopped using that journal right away!

Just after Sept. 11, 2001, I was spiritually led to Whole Life Books in Austin, Tx (y'all) and walked directly to a shelf with a book titled "Solving the Greatest Mystery of our Time: The Mayan Calendar" by some guy who's name was spelled kind of like my own.  In a trance I walked to the counter and bought the book and as I read it over the next few days my own consciousness was exponentially expanded and my original intuitions about the Mayan Calendar were confirmed.

I got on the internet and typing in Dr. Calleman's name I was led to a website called Mayanmajix.com created by Ian Xel Lundgold.  I emailed him several questions and decided I must go to Sedona, AZ to pay him a visit.  

My parents at the time were living in Sacremento, CA (they lived in Canada for a while and were crossing back into the States from Vancouver just as 9/11 happened) so it was a good excuse for a road trip.  Ian and I met at the Mayan Taco Resturant (now closed).  I stayed with Ian and Matty a couple of days and heard Ian lecture about the Long-Count and how to use it to make predictions. 

In 2004 Dr. Calleman's book "The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness" came out and I started emailing him with lots of questions.  There was a link in the book to LivinginJoy.com (now defunct) that featured a beautiful blond angelic woman touching people's heads and they all looked blissed-out.  That was cool I thought.  Then there was a post of pictures with Carl Calleman talking to that group with Anette Carlstrom - the angelic woman/Goddess -  sitting next to him!

I immediately wrote to Carl asking if he wanted to come over to Texas with Anette to teach about the Mayan calendar and make everyone here Blissed-out....surprise, surprise, the answer was YES!

Carl showed up in August 2004 and we held a two day class at Austin's Casa de Luz where I met some incredible new friends.  Carl stayed at my river house in New Braunfels, TX and he spoke to a big group at the home of my friend Nancy Moore in San Marcos, TX.  He left on a bus for Dallas on a 13 Ix(jaguar) day.  I went to my new friend Ranita's condo on South Padre island and watched Venus hover over the ocean waves all night.

Exactly 260 days later, Anette Carlstrom arrived at the Austin airport looking much more like a goddess in person than in the pics!  That was another 13 Jaguar day....hence I adopted the stage-name, Cosmicjaguar!  We held another 2-day workshop at Aquarena Springs where Carl and Anette took turns Enlightening about 30 people.

(There was also a legend I heard at Yaxchilan a few years before that when the head of the statue in the temple atop the pyramid there returns, celestial jaguars would return to devour the Universe....)

I later was blessed with resources to visit Guatemala on a Sacred Journey with Don Alejandro and his wonderful wife Elizabeth in January 2007 and again with my wife on our honey-moon in May 2009.  Laura and I were married already, but Tata performed another wedding for us during a fire ceremony under the San Pedro Volcano!

I am currently in New Braunfels, Tx.
