Q What is the difference between an Ambassador and an Affiliate?
An Ambassador is someone who has contributed funds to the Shift of the Ages Project.
Affiliates are Ambassadors who further assist SOTA by inviting others to become part of the Shift of the Ages Project.
Q. What Is Shift of the Ages Affiliate Program?
The Shift of the Ages Affiliate Program is a fast and easy way to help spread the message of the Mayans and add e-commerce to your web site. Each sale generated through the Shift of the Ages trackable banner or link on your website, in your email, or contained in your e-newsletter will generate an 8 to 12% commission for your organization or affiliation, with a 3% override on approved Affiliates that apply through your unique Affiliate link.
Q. How do I become an Affiliate?

Q. Does it cost me anything to become an Affiliate?
No. It is free to join our Affiliate Program. However, Affiliate applications submitted by Ambassadors have the shortest application response time. Non-Ambassador Affiliate applications come under special review.
Q. What are the qualifications for becoming an Affiliate?
Typically you must first become a Shift of the Ages Ambassador before becoming an Affiliate; however, exceptions exist. All Affiliates applications are individually reviewed by the SOTA Legal team for potential conflict of interest. If none exists, an Affiliate application can be approved at the discretion of the SOTA Core team. Affiliate applications submitted by Ambassadors have the shortest application response time. Non-Ambassador Affiliate applications come under special review.
Q. How much do I need to know about computers to become an Affiliate?
All you really need to know is how to type on a computer and follow simple instructions. SOTA team members will be available to guide you through the process if you need assistance.
Q. Will you provide me with banners and graphics to use for my website, my emails, and my e-newsletter?
We will provide you with all the needed banners, graphics, text links, and support. Once you are approved, you will receive an Affiliate login to access the banner and links to place on your web site or e-newsletter.
Q. Do I have to have a currently operating website to become an Affiliate?
No. You can promote your Affiliate link through emails and social media, like your Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter profiles, as long as it does not violate our Affiliate Agreement.
Q. How do I know what commissions I've earned?
You will have an automated back-office where you can track your activity level and earned commissions.
Q. What products count for commission?
All Ambassador Levels except Galactic count for commission.
Q. How much are commissions?
Affiliates earn 12% commission on Community and National Ambassador enrollment fees and 8% on Planetary Ambassador enrollment fees.
Affiliates earn 3% commission on the total revenue generated by Sub-Affiliates. Sub-Affiliates are Affiliates that have enrolled through the original Affiliate's unique identification link.
Q. When and how do I get paid?
We will pay you or cause you to be paid on a monthly cycle should your commissions reach $50 or more in accordance with the terms of the Affiliate Agreement mentioned commission structure. The check will be for the applicable commission (less any taxes required to be withheld pursuant to applicable law). For any month in which your commissions do not exceed $50, we will withhold the commissions and add it to the next month for which you are entitled to receive a commission check. All commissions will be paid electronically through PayPal.
Q. Can international websites and individuals participate?
Yes, international websites and non US individuals can participate in the Shift of the Ages.
Q. I have more than one URL; can I register each of them?
You may register more than one URL as long as you own the URL and they are different websites, not multiple URLs of the same one.
Q. How should I design my website?
You are free to design your website and promotion as you see fit, as long as it does not violate our Affiliate Agreement.
Q. Can I use content from the Shift of the Ages website on my website?
You can contact us at via email regarding specific content that you would like to use. We will need to approve the use of the content and placement prior to its use.
