Dancing Moon
Today was the Spring Equinox for me in the northern hemisphere. It was an amazing day and night for me.
I was productive during the day and got everything I needed to do done without complaint in my heart or soul.
Winter tried to hold on one more day and it was cold for my region. 38* farenheit and massive wind. The wind died down and the sun came out for one of the most spectacular sunsets in a while. I am a sunrise and sunset person.
But tonight, was the most spectacular of all. The moon danced and stars twinkled bright for me. Brighter than any other night in the past 10 years. I almost don't want to go to bed, it's been so great.
10 years ago in a little town called Bandera, I sat on the porch at night and was able to see the string of the milky way. For someone who is blind as a bat, that is very remarkable.
Tonight, I saw the moon like I had never seen her before without a telescope.
I was able to see the moon so clearly, and the stars around it. Haven't seen that since I don't know when.
The moon is not full yet, but it is getting closer. I saw the shadow of the Earth hiding the bottom part of the moon. That was impressive in itself.
But as I gazed at the moon, it danced. It had plumes of light flowing off of it as if the light was dancing for me. It wasn't the streaky glare that most people have with cataracts, these were true plumes of brilliant light. They eminated from the moon and then like a puff of wind, they danced off of the moon almost like a solar flare on an enhanced image of the sun. It was brilliant and mesmerizing. Each time I have gone outside tonight this has happened until the last time a little while ago. This time I could still see the shadow of the earth and the stars twinkling around, but no plumes. I think since the date is ending and a new day approaches the plumes have gone. But it was so amazing, I had to let you know how the moon danced for me tonight. I hope others were able to see this. It was phenominal.
