all around me nature is at its most perfect

All around me is nature at her most perfect. The sound of birds as they go about their day fills the air, their songs have a meditative quality about them and I give thanks to them for allowing me the pleasure of their voice. As the wildlife here in Burra Creek is going about their daily business oblivious to my presence, I am reminded once again that we can all get along with each other when we stick to our own agenda and do not interfere with that of another. Each day I am treated to the antics of a pair of mating Willy Wag tails as they hop and dance around the base of a huge ancient Gum trees, at times flying  right past, darting and weaving between me and the trees. In competition pair of magpies sing and entertain me also. It is really a joy to spend time with these birds.

Each morning the loud calls of the kookaburra awake me around 4.30 as they sing out their happiness across the valley, flocks of white Cockatoos scream their arrival at sun up, alerting me to the beauty of the sunrise and a new day. Morning time out in the bush is loud and full of life as the creatures of the day wake up and silent night creatures slip into their retreat.

I receive this message loud and clear…”wake up to each day with a fresh approach to life and the old illusions will soften and drift away”

During the day, flocks of pink galahs fly over to check out who we are, some of them landing in the trees to stay for a longer look. At one stage a mating pair sat on a tree branch quite close to where we were camped, just watching us as we were them, each of us curious of the other. A brave little quail came walking up close to see who we intruders were and what was going on, satisfied we meant no harm she walked back to her cubby in the reeds.

These beautiful visits and connections to the world of birds stirred within me a connection that is wild and strong and yet at the same time it is gentle and calming…a connection that is close to my heart.

The whole time we were camped at this spot we were treated to the fluttering energies of five butterflies as they constantly flickered around a wild pink daisy bush, staying only long enough to take sustenance from the flowers, and only moving away to shift to another flower. Even when I got close to these beautiful creatures, they were not afraid, merely flew to another bush close by.

This state of being in the moment and totally focused, as demonstrated by the butterfly is very important for us humans if we are to truly experience each moment of our life to the fullest. In my own experience when I am in the moment I am connected and feel good however when I allow my thoughts to take over, I become distracted and listen to my ego rather than my heart soul self.

Dragon flies too were powerful in their presence, humming around the whole time. We were camped next to a creek so were treated to the butterflies and dragonflies pausing long enough to take a drink from this water source. I felt honoured with the trust they felt in our presence. The message of these delicate winged creatures also helps me to let go of any illusions that are keeping me from travelling down my own path, allowing me to see there is newness in each moment…and not to hang onto old outmoded stuff as it will weigh me down.

The wind whistling through the tall gum trees adds another sound to the orchestra I am listening to. Some of these ancient trees are hundreds of years old, and looking at their appearance it is obvious that they have suffered at times over their journey, yet they still stand tall and strong, towering into the sky and branching out in all directions. They are testimony to the power of nature and its vital energy. Each of these magnificent trees are unique in size, shape and form, with its own tale to tell, a bit like humans really, as we too, each have our own journey and story to tell.

As I look around me at these beautiful native trees it is easy to form an association with them and notice the different patterns and shapes I can “see” formed within their branches. It was easy to distinguish the symbol of snake as he "crawled" up the trunk, shaped from the sun shadows falling over the natural patterns on the trunk of the tree, a broken branch on another tree resembled a cat sitting there with its back to me, tail curled around behind it. The most powerful symbol of all though was the circle formed by two twisted branches, resembling a snake formed into a circle. This however was an illusion as it could only be seen as a circle from a certain angle and as soon as I moved too far away from where I was sitting the two separate branches became apparent. . . a powerful symbol indeed, reminding me that much of what we think we see is really an illusion.
The trees are talking to me, encouraging me to be strong and resilient in times of stress and upheaval, as there will always be a part of me that will find strength in newness, it is time to let go of the old and to accept what I cannot change and to change what I can. Nature teaches there is always something going on under the surface even though it cannot always be seen…it is still there. There is a bigger picture.

Message received during tree meditation.

Sometimes we need to let go. We drop our leaves when we become tired, sick or lacking the water and nutrients we need to keep us healthy. We too suffer our own traumas and at times they stilt us and hold us back however when we tune into the strength of our earth mother we know that she will nurture us and lead us back on the path we need to grow tall and strong again. Do not despair, as you will find your strength from your perceived current difficulties, do not allow the negative energies of others to overtake or influence who you are now….this is important as You are about to undergo new spiritual growth spurt that will lead you to higher realms than you are used to on this earth plane; WE are here to give you strength and encourage on your journey

Look at us, see how we have grown and aged over the centuries, we are gaining more strength and beauty as we grow and age, so too will you. We have learned over centuries how to tap into the "well of our beauty" and gain strength from this, so too will you, when you learn to trust that you have the power within you to shape your life in any way you wish. Like us you can tap into this inner strength and know that it will lead you on the path that is perfect for your growing, it is within your heart, please listen to what it tells you as from this you will branch out and become the soul that is truly you.

You need to have this period of cleansing and purging to free you up to move forward on your journey.

Life goes on and all is in perfect timing and my time away has shown me once again that for me to fire up and sparkle I need to constantly recharge my spiritual batteries and stay in touch with the world of nature as it gives me strength and guidance…it is my life line and for this I truly and deeply give thanks.

Blessed be all who walk on this earth
